Before hiring a filtration system it is strongly advised that laboratory analysis is carried out before begining filtration and after the job iscompleted.

Filtration Capabilities & Features

Variable Speed settings: This Filtration System has been specifically designed for the filtration of high viscosity gear oils and is capable of filtering oils up to 1000 viscosity. It can also be used on lower viscosity oils e.g. hydraulic 32 grade making it a very versatile unit.

Suitable for Filtration of: Diesel Fuel, Oils to 680 grade (with 1888SH filters) & Coolants (when fitted with the 2088PP filters)

Tank Size: For use with Drums, IBCs & tanks up to 1500Litres

Flow Rate: 800 – 1200 Litres per hour (based on diesel at ambient temperature)

Filter Housings: The unit is fitted with twin 9788 housings suitable for use our main range of filter cartridges.

Magnetic Pre-Filter: The unit comes fitted with a 5" Magnetic Prefilter, these are ideal for removing ferrous debris from systems making this unit ideal for coolants, and fuels where ferrous debris can often occur.

Filters Options

1888H – Standard Filter Cartridge ideal for removing particulate and water contamination. Suitable for use on Diesel Fuel & Lube oils.

1888SPT – Polishing Filter Cartridge, once the main filtration has been carried out these filters are able to provide additional filtration further reducing the particulate and water levels. Important DO NOT use these filters for the main filtration job as they will blind very quickly and are designed for polishing.

2088PP – These filters are for use with water-based fluids such as coolants & glycol, they WILL NOT remove any water but will remove particulate contamination.

1888SH- This filters are seated in a cardboard sleve. This allows an amount of oil to bypass the cartridge preventing the unit building up back pressure and tripping out. Due to the bypassing of oil when using these filters more passes will be required to ensure the oils are fully filltered.

The MS2 240v variable speed Filtration System has been specifically designed for the filtration of high viscosity gear oils and is capable of filtering oils up to 1000 viscosity. It can also be used on lower viscosity oils e.g. hydraulic 32 grade making it a very versatile unit. Power is 240 volts which is converted via an internal transformer and a variable speed potentiometer control allowing the operator to select and control the flow through the double layered filter media. It is all built in a bunded steel skid frame and is supplied with Standard 1888 group of filter cartridges are for oils and diesel fuel and when used with the 2088PP & 2088PP6 filter catridges these units will also filter water based fluids such as Glycol & fire retardent oils. This unit is also fitted with a 5” Micro Mag Magnetic filter capable of removing up to 99% of ferrous contaminates increasing filter cartridge life time. The Twin Units are ideal for routine maintenance of machinery, storage tanks and IBC’s. They can also be used for providing permanent filtration and can be sited next to tanks continually circulating fluids. Being built on a strong robust skid frame the units are easily mounted on to a trolley and can be transported around sites.

Operating Temperatures: Within operating specifications of engine, gear and hydraulic oils.

Filtration Level: Particulate contamination in accordance with BS 5540 part 4: 1981 and ISO/DIS 4406. ISO equivalent to NAS 1638 class 6. (Hydraulic oil specification)

Hire Systems come fitted with the requested filters & 2 x 3m suction and return lines ready for use.
