Wear Debris

• FW Index - This test will measure the amount of ferrous material is in the system regardless of size.

Contamination Analysis

• Particle Count (ISO) - The particle count will allow for the cleanliness level of the oil in the system to be determined according to the ISO4406:2017 standard.
• Water K.Fisher - This will detect whether there is any free or emulsified water in your oil.
• Flashpoint - The flashpoint will be able to detect the presence of any flammable substances in the diesel.

Chemical Analysis

• Density/specific gravity/API - How heavy the fuel is and has a relationship with Cetane rating, this can Indirectly can point to other sources of contamination.
• FAME testing - FAME testing tests for the amount of biodiesel in your fuel. Current EU levels are at 7% and anything above this could cause issues for injectors, pumps, filters etc.
• Diesel Bug Testing - This is microbiological growth that forms in diesel fuels and can block filters causing engines to cut out.
